After being on the bench for 3 weeks due to a faulty water pump, We headed west with Mitch, Jesse and Troy.  We set up and found the fishing steady throughout the morning.  We managed to fill a three man limit of walleyes going 18 for 22 and 2 for 3 on Steelhead.  The program consisted of clean RRs and Bagleys on one side and 5 LC with shallow sticks on the other.  A trolling speed of 1.9 seemed to trigger the most strikes. 

We headed out with Rick, Rick and Kathy for an early walleye trip
on a picture perfect day of sunny skies and calm lake conditions. 
Despite the fish being few and scattered we managed to go 5 for 8 on
Walleye also boating numerous white bass and farm animals. 
The biggest walleye of the day was 10#s.  The program consisted of Bagleys and RR
600s off of the boards.

We headed out Smallmouth Bass fishing with Mike and Shane.  With the lake conditions being calm and a sunny clear sky, we found a steady bite.   We finished the day 20 for 24 on Smallmouth Bass.  The fish remained in the 4.5# range with the biggest of the day being slightly over 5 #s.  We also managed to box two nice Walleye, several  Perch, some Rock Bass and a couple farm animals.  The program remained the same as the previous day.

Headed East to do some Smallmouth Bass fishing with Rodger and Mike.  A thick fog made it slow going but we got set up and slowly picked at them throughout the morning.  When the fog finally cleared up around noon the fishing picked up.  We finished the day with 15 Smallmouth Bass, most averaging around 4.5 #s with the biggest of the day going 6.5 #s.  We also added a walleye to the box and reeled in a mixed bag of rock bass, perch and a couple farm animals.  Set-up consisted of RR 200’s and RR 600s off of the boards.

Decided to use the day for some fun fishing.  I invited my dad, Frank, along with First Mate Ron’s Dad, Ron.  The fishing started off slow but then picked up to a somewhat steady bite.  We managed to end the day going 15 for 18 on Lake Trout and boxing 2 bonus walleye.  Fish averaged smaller than previous outings.  Short leads on the riggers and copper board lines seemed to be the highest producers.

Headed east for some Lake Trout fishing with Dale Black, owner/president of Gamma Lines (https://blackknightindustries.com/Home.aspx) . The steady Lake Trout bite that would had found on earlier trips had turned into a grind.  With the fishing slow we managed to end the day 8 for 12 on Lake Trout and also taking a bonus walleye.   Spoons on divers, copper lines and downriggers made up the program. 

Fished the day with Brian and Tony on another day of favorable lake conditions.  The morning bite was slow but by mid-morning had picked up allowing us to finish the day going 13 for 18 on Lake Trout and adding a bonus 29.5” - 9 # walleye to the box.  Fish remained in the same size class as previous outings with the big fish of the day being in the 15-16# range.  Program remained the same with the hot set up of the day being the copper shoot rod which took 5 shots. 

We headed east with Erik and Emily on a calm lake that gave way to a beautiful day on Lake Erie.  Rarely do good conditions and great fishing line up but today was the exception.  We were able to locate a steady bite on Lake Trout and Emily hauled over the stern, Outcast’s first walleye of the 2014 season.  We ended the day going 19 for 27 on Lake Trout with 2 bonus walleye.  The fish ranged in the 8-12 # class with the biggest of the day going 16.5 #s.  The program remained the same as the previous trips with 7 LC and copper board lines pitching in a few more fish.

Fished the day with Rider and Mike on a flat calm lake.  We managed a steady pick throughout the day going 15 for 19 on Lake Trout and also boating a bonus Steelhead.  Fish averaged in the 8 - 12# range with a couple 15#ers and the biggest of the day being 16#'s.  Program remained the same as the previous outings with the addition of copper lines off of the planer boards taking several fish.  Trolling Speed:  2.2

Set out from the marina, headed east, on a choppy lake with Steve and Bob.  We set up and made our first pass going 5 for 5 on Lake Trout.  We turned west, headed into the waves, and the Lake Erie flu set in.  With the waves remaining steady and the flu taking hold the crew decided to call it quits.  Program consisted of downriggers and braid/wire divers towing spoons and spin n glow / dodger combos.
